What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy aims to identify areas of pain or dysfunction and resolve these issues using a combination of soft tissue release and manipulative therapy with goal to prevent the pain from returning.
What is Craniosacral Therapy?
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, noninvasive treatment that uses the healing powers of touch and gentle pressure applied to the skull and/or body to provide pain relief and reduce tension by impacting the nervous system. This can be highly effective in helping with tension related feeding difficulties and other painful conditions such as colic. Katie works closley together with individuals and their families, alongside other professionals involved (such as lactation consultants) to provide tailored craniosacral therapy for newborn babies, through childhood and into adulthood.

What happens in an osteopathy session?
We provide a two step approach to Osteopathic treatment at Back on Track Injury Clinic.
-
Your first session will involve gaining a full understanding of the condition as well as identifying a goal to work towards. We will take extra time to listen to your explanations of the problem. This will be followed by a thorough physical assessment which allows us to put together an individualised treatment plan to enable you to reach your goals or simply get back on track.
-
These sessions will review your progress between appointments and allow us to adapt the treatment based on how you present at each session, ensuring that progress is always being made. The ethos of “find it , fix it, leave it alone”, ensures we will never sell you services that we don’t think you need. Our central aim is to help improve your symptoms and keep it that way.

“My son had a neck injury and was approaching a big rowing weekend. Without the amazing work of Back on Track Injury Clinic, he wouldn’t have been able to race. Pleased to say he went on to race pain free and win this weekend! Friendly, professional and made myself and my 13 year old son feel totally at ease.”
