What is Pregnancy Massage?
Pregnancy massage is a term used for massage therapy applied either during pregnancy or in the fourth trimester which lasts 12 weeks postpartum. It uses similar techniques as both sports and remedial massage, with the aims to release tension and reduce pain in a calm and relaxing environment. It takes into consideration your individual needs as an expectant or newborn mother and uses a variety of positioning methods to ensure maximum comfort which gives you the ability to completely relax and feel confident that you are in safe hands.

What happens during a Pregnancy Massage session?
Each session lasts 75 minutes which allows plenty of time to get you on and off the massage bed safely and comfortably. It allows time to have a chat about any symptoms you have been experiencing to make sure it is safe to go ahead with the massage as well as establishing your needs. Our therapist will get you comfy and use therapeutic massage techniques based on the requirements of the sessions. We are happy to chat but also happy to let you just relax and enjoy some quiet time whichever you prefer.
